"AFB Bank" OJSC is actively involved in financing SMEs

The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to cooperate with banks in order to expand access to financial resources for micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The next project in this direction is the project "Increasing access to financial markets" implemented jointly with AFB Bank. According to the project, for SMEs who want to get a loan from the bank and meet the relevant requirements, the opportunity to provide collateral in the area of residence (even the garden area will be mortgaged), unsecured loans to farmers up to 5,000 manat and pre-harvest discounts (monthly interest only) , micro-credit in accordance with the specifics of the business, it is planned to make discounts on all types of loan interest. The project will also inform entrepreneurs in the areas of financial accounting and market research by professionals.

The first presentation of the project "Increasing access to financial markets" was held in Gabala. The event was attended by more than 50 entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of the Agency and AFB Bank.

Along with Gabala, the project covers Oguz, Sheki, Zagatala, Ismayilli, Agdash, Goychay and others. will be implemented in districts and cities.

It should be noted that in order to expand access to financial resources for SMEs, SME regularly informs SMEs about existing public financing mechanisms, encourages entrepreneurs to use concessional government loans, as well as explores alternative financing mechanisms, cooperates with banks in this area.
